"By the Lake" (У озера) is more of a resort rather than just a hotel. There are 2 type facilities accompanied with playground, summer cafe, gazebo area with fountain, and a boat pier. Guests have a choice to stay in the main 2 story building in junior suites, or book a deluxe cottage. All junior suites have 2 rooms (guest and bedroom), fridge, satellite TV, heated floors. The deluxe cottages have an entry hall and big room furnished with a king size bed and sofa. The hotel is situated right on the shore at the point where Angara River flows out of the Lake. The location provides great views of the Lake, Angara River, Shaman Rock, and mountains. Guests are offered variety of activities: Russian banya (sauna), chess corner, playground for kids, gear rental for bikers, boating, snow activities, fishing, off-road driving. There is a nice cafe on the territory of the hotel offering good variety of dishes from salads made from local produce, to a Russian Barbecue and smoked local Omul fish. It takes minutes by feet to reach the Museum of Lake Baikal, and about 1km to reach the village center.
